HYROX Doubles is the two-person format of HYROX. A team consists of two athletes who complete the same competition together: 8 x 1 km run and 8 workout stations in the specified order. Unlike the Singles format, you don’t start alone, but as a team. This makes HYROX Doubles particularly appealing to athletes who want to compete together and strategically divide up the workouts.
HYROX Mixed Doubles means that a team consists of exactly one woman and one man. This format is very popular because it places particular emphasis on teamwork, pacing, and strategy. When people search for “HYROX mixed doubles,” they usually mean this specific mixed pairs category, which is clearly distinct from Men’s Doubles and Women’s Doubles.
Even in the Doubles format, the basic principle of HYROX remains the same: an 8-kilometer run and 8 stations. The runs must be completed in full, and the stations must be completed in the official order. For a valid finish time, both athletes must start in accordance with the rules and complete the competition as specified in the rulebook. For example, in Farmers Carry, the weights in the Open division are lower than in the Pro division, and there are also clear differences between women, men, and Pro classes in Wall Balls. In the Mixed Doubles format, special rules apply at several stations where both athletes use the Open Men’s weight.
