The TYR DropZero 2 are barefoot training shoes designed for athletes who want maximum ground contact and natural foot movement. With a zero drop, wide toe box, and minimal cushioning, they offer exactly what you expect from modern barefoot shoes—stability, control, and freedom of movement.
The first thing you notice when you put them on is the anatomically wide toe box, which gives your toes plenty of room to move naturally. Unlike traditional training shoes, there is no raised heel or heavy cushioning, so you have much better contact with the floor during squats, deadlifts, or balance exercises.
A new feature of the second generation is the redesigned heel with an external TPU stabilizer, which helps keep the foot in the correct position without restricting natural movement. The midfoot tightening system also works excellently, ensuring the shoe stays securely in place even during quick changes of direction.
The knitted 3D upper is lightweight, breathable, and comfortable even during extended wear. The TYRTAC™ outsole offers reliable traction on rubber gym floors as well as on standard sports surfaces.
In our opinion, the DropZero 2 is ideal for strength training, deadlifts, squats, kettlebell workouts, or for anyone who loves barefoot shoes and wants to use them during gym workouts. They aren’t shoes for long-distance running, but they work great for maximum ground contact and natural foot movement.
