Czechia Throwdown 2025

The Czechia Throwdown competition took place on November 7-9, 2025, in Pilsen, specifically at the Max Fitness gym. And honestly, it wasn't even on my competition schedule at first. Although I thought about Czechia for a while, after a relatively busy season, I decided that I had had enough for this year and skipped this stop. However, the situation changed when we received a message from the organizers asking if Adam and I would like to enter the Elite Team category because a spot had opened up. One thing led to another, we confirmed our participation, and TEAM FOX suddenly appeared on the leaderboard. But in the meantime, the competition in Oslo and the subsequent vacation in Lofoten came up. It was there that Adam injured his wrist. At first, it seemed like a minor injury, but the healing process took much longer than we expected. It was clear that he would not be able to participate in the Czechia Throwdown. In the end, everything turned out well. A few days before the start, Áron Lisý stepped in, for which we are very grateful.

The competition was incredibly strong. We were up against some really powerful pairs. We had six starts plus the final, which we managed to advance to. The workouts were very well designed, varied, some quite challenging and others very tactical. Tactics were something we were able to capitalize on.
We managed to win one of the workouts and maintained a stable average throughout the weekend.
We were satisfied with our final 6th place. It was also great to try competing in pairs again after a long time and with someone new - although I must admit that we were both looking forward to starting together with Adam.

And one thing is certain – these weren't the last competitions with the guys. Another report will be coming soon, this time from the M/M/F/F four-member team competition, where we took on Nelča Nikodemová and headed to Copenhagen for the World Fitness Project.

The great results of the guys from our gym, CF Steel Wings Pardubice, are also worth mentioning. Vojta Klenka took an excellent 7th place in the Elite Men category and Vojtěch Záhořík placed 15th in the Intermediate Men category.

I rate the entire competition very positively. Czechia Throwdown was a high-quality competition with many great names in the elite categories for both men and women. From a sporting point of view, it was a great event and also an excellent spectacle for the spectators. A big plus was also the facilities for the athletes – a chill zone, food, and a spacious warm-up room.

If I have the opportunity, I would love to visit the Czechia Throwdown again.
