European Masters Throwdown 2025 - my path to 3rd place

Last weekend I went to Budapest for the European Masters Throwdown, where I competed in the RX category (30-34 years old). It was three days full of challenges, pain and joy - and in the end a beautiful 3rd place.

The race started on Friday, but I didn't get my turn until after 8pm. To start, we had an endurance workout: 1 km run, 1 km SkiErg and 1 km run again. Even though it was not easy, I managed to keep my head down and won this workout.

The next day we started first thing in the morning and there were three workouts in total. Honestly - Saturday was tough. One workout followed the other, fatigue grew and competition was high. I went into the last day from 4th place and knew I would have to work hard.

One workout was scheduled for Sunday, after which I moved up to 3rd place. The top 5 women from each category advanced to the finals - I was among them. In the final workout, I just went, didn't look around, worked hard and hoped it would work out. It worked out :)

What was great about these competitions was not only the placings, but also the perfect organization, fair judges and incredibly charging atmosphere. That's what makes racing worthwhile - the people, the environment and the feeling that we are experiencing something special together.
Thanks to my husband for supporting us from start to finish, to our whole team for cheering us on and a huge congrats to all the girls who put in great performances.

And of course a big thank you to the Workout.eu brand for their support and the opportunity to represent their products on the race field. Without you it would not have been possible.

It doesn't stop there - the next stop is the German Throwdown, so we'll see what it brings.
